A removable battery package (10) having a latch mechanism (32) for attaching the battery package (10) to a radio (18) is provided. The battery package (10) comprises a housing (15) having an interior surface (30), an exterior surface (14) and sidewalls (16). Engagement means (32) are located on the interior surface (30) of the housing (15) for engaging a receiving means (22) located on the radio (18). Activating means are provided for activating the latch wherein the activating means comprises a recessed portion (12) located in the exterior surface (14) of the housing (15) transverse to the engagement means (32). The recessed portion (12) is designed so that by pressing the sidewalls (16) of the housing (15) a portion of the housing (24) is temporarily outwardly deformed thereby disengaging the engagement means (32).
Bloc (10) amovible pour piles doté d'un mécanisme de solidarisation (32) destiné à fixer ledit bloc (10) pour piles sur une radio (18). Ledit bloc (10) pour piles comporte un boîtier (15) présentant une surface interne (30), une surface externe (14) et des parois latérales (16). Des dispositifs (32) d'emboîtement sont situés sur la surface interne (30) du boîtier (15) et sont destinés à être introduits dans un dispositif récepteur (22) situé sur la radio (18). Un dispositif d'actionnement du mécanisme de solidarisation comporte un évidement (12) ménagé dans la surface externe (14) du boîtier (15) transversalement par rapport aux dispositifs d'emboîtement (32). Ledit évidement (12) est conçu de telle manière qu'une pression exercée sur les parois latérales (16) du boîtier (15) entraîne la déformation temporaire vers l'extérieur d'une partie (24) du boîtier, libérant ainsi les dispositifs d'emboîtement (32).
