An apparatus equipped with a battery, such as an electrical toothbrush, receives from a charging device a charging voltage which adapts to the charged condition of the battery and on whose over-discharging is correspondingly small. On the one hand the apparatus comprises a series circuit between a capacitor and a diode which is connected to the charging device parallel to the battery, wherein the diode is arranged in the forward direction. On the other hand in series to the battery there is arranged an electronic switch which periodically for a short time interrupts the charging procedure of the battery. In each case during such an interruption the charging apparatus is unloaded and its voltage increases jump-like by which means the capacitor can be charged via the diode. In each case with a closed switch, i.e. on loading the charging apparatus by the battery, the capacitor supplies a further relatively high impedance load so that this independently of the value of the charging voltage may be supplied with a sufficiently high and constant voltage.

L'invention porte sur un appareil à batterie, tel une brosse à dent électrique, qui reçoit d'un dispositif de chargement une tension de charge s'adaptant à l'état de charge de la batterie. Donc, la décharge accélérée de l'appareil est de ce fait peu importante. D'un côté, l'appareil comprend un circuit en série placé entre un condensateur et une diode qui est reliée au dispositif de chargement parallèlement à la batterie dans laquelle la diode est orientée vers l'avant. De l'autre côté, un interrupteur électronique, placé en série par rapport à la batterie, interrompt périodiquement, pendant un court moment, le chargement de la batterie. Dans chaque cas, pendant une telle interruption, l'appareil de chargement est déchargé et sa tension augmente par sauts, ce qui permet ainsi de charger le condensateur par le biais de la diode. Dans chaque cas où l'interrupteur est fermé, c'est-à-dire pendant que la batterie charge l'appareil de chargement, le condensateur fournit une autre charge d'impédance relativement élevée de sorte que, indépendamment de la valeur de la tension de charge, cette charge d'impédance peut être produite avec une tension suffisamment élevée et constante.
