BATTERY PACK AND CHARGER THEREFOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A battery pack unit capable of being recharged and comprising an electrically non-conductive housing including side portions and a top portion. A first pair of electrically conducted metallic strips are provided on the outside of a side portion of the housing. A second pair or metallic strips are provided on the outside of a top portion of the housing. A plurality of batteries are provided in the housing. The batteries are electri- cally connected to each other and to both pairs of the metallic strips so that one of the strips in each pair is a negative terminal and the other strip in each pair is a positive terminal for the pack units.
