A battery system having interconnected battery packs (2300) is provided. Each battery pack (2300) includes a plurality of rectangular prismatic shaped cells (300). Each cell (300) includes a positive terminal at one end and a negative terminal at the other end. The cells (300) are housed in a battery pack housing (2305) in a side-by-side manner. The cells (300) may be electrically connected in series so that the positive terminal for a cell (300) extends toward and contacts the negative terminal of an adjacent cell (300) and the negative terminal for the cell (300) extends toward and contacts the positive terminal of another adjacent cell (300).
L'invention concerne un système de batterie présentant des blocs batterie interconnectés (2300). Chaque bloc batterie (2300) comporte une pluralité de cellules de forme prismatique rectangulaire (300). Chaque cellule (300) est dotée d'une borne positive à une extrémité et d'une borne négative à l'autre extrémité. Les cellules (300) sont insérées dans un boîtier de bloc batterie (2305) et placées côte à côte. Les cellules (300) peuvent être connectées électriquement en série de sorte que la borne positive d'une cellule (300) s'étende vers la borne négative d'une cellule adjacente (300) et entre en contact avec celle-ci et que la borne négative de la cellule (300) s'étende vers la borne positive d'une autre cellule adjacente (300) et entre en contact avec celle-ci.
