ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The structure comprises uprights constituted by cylindrical sectional elements with grooves parallel to the axis of the sectional element and distributed regularly at the periphery. Connecting members comprise a part engageable and lockable in said grooves at the desired height and a projecting part on which the end of a cross-piece is fixed supporting various constituent modular elements for desks of various configurations. The structure is applicable to the production of conventional desks, passaged or partitioned desks.
