A bearing assembly which spaces bearing elements in an unequal relationship from one bearing element pocket to the next. The spacing minimizes the likelihood that the bearing elements will rest in the exact same location on an inner and outer race to reduce the potential for false brinelling. The net result is a decreased depth of false brinelling in any one location and an increased bearing life.

L'invention concerne un ensemble palier comprenant des éléments roulants espacés selon un rapport inégal d'une poche d'élément roulant à la suivante. Cet espacement permet de réduire au minimum la probabilité que les éléments roulants reposent exactement au même endroit sur un chemin de roulement intérieur et extérieur, ce qui réduit le risque d'empreinte des éléments roulants sur les chemins. La présente invention permet donc de réduire la profondeur d'une telle empreinte à n'importe quel endroit, et d'augmenter la durée de vie du palier.
