ABSTRACT A bearing for a printing head of a matrix printer whose slidable printing pins are guided in guide channels which are provided in a portion of the bearing which is made of a comparatively soft material. The bearing is provided with pin-shaped inserts which adjoin the guide charnels and which are made of a comparatively hard material. A printing head comprising a bearing of this kind has a high- wear resistance and can be inexpensively manufactured.
