SPECIFICATION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Bearings for hydraulically supported barking drums comprise arcuate, axially spaced apart bearing boxes mounted on a base and forming an enclosed space between the base and the outside of the drum to which water under pressure is adapted to be supplied to float the drum. The gaps between the bearing boxes and the outside of the drum are sealed off by elastic sealing members secured to the bearing boxes and extending upwardly and inwardly into engagement with the drum.
