The invention relates to a bed which is equipped with a back elevator (20) that can pivot between a horizontal position and a series of elevated inclined positions, while simultaneously moving in translation towards the head or foot of the bed. The inventive bed is characterised in that it comprises a connecting link (4, 4'), one end of which (41, 41') is fitted with teeth (44) which can engage with a series of openings (203) provided on the lower surface (201) of said back elevator (20) in such a way as to slide the back elevator in relation to a reclinable part (11) of the bed frame. The inventive bed is provided with a simple structure and is suitable for hospital beds.

La présente invention concerne un lit muni d'un relève-dos (20) susceptible de pivoter entre une position horizontale et une série de positions inclinées relevées, tout en effectuant simultanément un mouvement de translation en direction de la tête ou du pied du lit. Ce lit est remarquable en ce qu'il comprend une biellette (4, 4') dont l'une des extrémités (41, 41') est munie de dents (44) aptes à engrener avec une série d'orifices (203) prévus sur la face inférieure (201) dudit relève-dos (20), de façon à pouvoir faire coulisser celui-ci par rapport à une partie inclinable (11) du châssis du lit.
