ABSTRACT A fastener is provided for fastening adjacent abutting members for infinite longitudinal adjustment of one member in relation to another. The fastener includes at least one clamp having two ends and a detent proximate each end having a shape complementary to the members to set the members when adjacent one another in abutted relation. The fastener includes at least one releasable resilient retainer coacting with the detent of the clamp proximate each end thereof to secure the members in abutted relationship with eachother and with the clamp.
