A comprehensive means of providing protection to a bed frame by covering various locations about the bed frame with plastic shields. The plastic shields are adapted to enclose the various locations about the bed frame including the ends of side rails, the junction of side rails and cross members, leg assemblies and the side rails themselves. The shields (10) comprise a pair of housings (12, 14) joined together with a living hinge (16) such that the free ends can be affixed together to surround and enclose the various locations where sharp edges are present. The use of the shields provides overall protection to all of the locations where there may be sharp edges that could harm a person striking the location and thus there is a comprehensive approach to full protection of the bed frame.

L'invention concerne des moyens d'ensemble destinés à protéger un cadre de lit, par recouvrement de divers endroits du pourtour du cadre, au moyen d'éléments protecteurs en matière plastique, lesquels sont conçus pour enfermer divers endroits du pourtour du cadre, notamment les extrémités des traverses latérales, le point d'assemblage des traverses latérales et des traverses d'extrémité, les ensembles pieds et les traverses latérales elles-mêmes. Ces éléments protecteurs se composent d'une paire de logements assemblés au moyen d'une charnière vive conçue de manière que les extrémités libres puissent être fixées ensemble et puissent entourer et enfermer les divers endroits où se situent des angles vifs.
