A door security system is described for securing an interior door against forced entry. A panel is placed in overlying relation to the door and slidably engaged with a lower end thereof. The panel includes upper brace support members. Telescopically extending jamb engaging members are provided at the floor and lower brace support members are provided in spaced relation thereto. Rigid braces are provided between the upper and lower brace supports so as to secure the doorwithout reliance on either the door hardware or frictional engagement with the floor.
La présente invention a pour objet une quincaillerie de sécurité pour portes d'intérieur destinée aux fins de protection contre les risques d'effraction. Un panneau est disposé de manière à recouvrir la porte, l'extrémité inférieure du panneau en question coulissant à l'intérieur d'un dispositif fixé au bas de la porte. Le panneau comporte des éléments de support supérieurs. Des éléments télescopiques viennent en prise avec le jambage de la porte au niveau des éléments de support inférieurs et à une distance prédéterminée du plancher. Des membrures de renfort rigides sont introduites entre les supports inférieurs et supérieurs pour garantir la solidité de la porte sans sollicitation mécanique imposée aux ferrures de la porte ni au plancher.
