A nest surround is provided for a leafcutter bee nest block in which a rectangular backing member is provided for abutting an inner surface of the nest block. Side members are moulded integrally along respective edges of the backing member for independent flexing movement in relation to the backing member. Retainer members are supported along two opposing side members along the long sides of the nest block which engage over the back side of the nest block opposite the backing member. Integral moulding of the side members and retainer members with the backing member permits the side members with the retainer members formed thereon to be biased inwardly for gripping a nest block received within the surround without additional fasteners and strapping being required.
