A method of enhancing the taste of a beer with a mineral additive. The mineral additive comprises soluble compounds of the following minerals to the following ranges of final concentrations of the respective element in the finished beer, to enhance taste characteristics of the diluted beer when compared to a dilution solely with water. Group A minerals: calcium from 5.9mg/L to 236mg/L, and magnesium from 1.3 to 52mg/L. Group B minerals: phophorus from 3.0 to 360mg/L, potassium from l2mg/L to 480mg/L, silicon at 0.075mg/L to 30mg/L, sodium at 0.8 mg/L to 32mg/L and chlorine at 0.9mg/L to 36mg/L. Group C minerals: boron from 0 to 76 ~g/L, chromium from 0 to 0.4~g/L, cobalt from 0 to 0.4~g/L, copper from 0 to 17.2 ~g/L, iodine from 0 to 5.2 ~g/L, lithium from 0 to 1.6 ~g/L, manganese from 0 to 1.6 ~g/L, molybdenum from 0 to 2.0 ~g/L, nickel from 0 to 2.0 ~g/L, selenium from 0 to 136 ~g/L, tin from 0 to 01.6 ~g/L, vanadium from 0 to 0.12 ~g/L and zinc from 0 to 104 ~g/L. Group D minerals: iron 0 to 20 ~g/L.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour améliorer le goût d'une bière au moyen d'un additif minéral. Ledit additif minéral comprend des composés solubles des minéraux suivants présentant des gammes de concentrations finales de l'élément respectif dans la bière finie, ce qui permet d'améliorer les caractéristiques gustatives de la bière diluée, par rapport à une dilution effectuée avec de l'eau. La bière comprend les minéraux suivants du groupe A: 5.9mg/l à 236mg/l de calcium et 1.3 à 52mg/l de magnésium. La bière comprend les minéraux suivants du groupe B : 3.0 à 360mg/l de phosphore, 12mg/l à 480mg/l de potassium, 0.075mg/l à 30mg/l de silicium, 0.8 mg/l à 32mg/l de sodium et 0.9mg/l à 36mg/l de chlore. La bière comprend les minéraux suivants du groupe C: 0 à 76 ?g/l de bore, 0 à 0.4?g/l de chrome, 0 à 0.4?g/l de cobalt, 0 à 17.2 ?g/l de cuivre, 0 à 5.2 ?g/l d'iode, 0 à 1.6 ?g/l de lithium, 0 à 1.6 ?g/l de manganèse, 0 à 2.0 ?g/l de molybdénum, 0 à 2.0 ?g/l de nickel, 0 à 136 ?g/l de sélénium, 0 à 01.6 ?g/l d'étain, 0 à 0.12 ?g/l de vanadium et 0 à 104 ?g/l de zinc. La bière de l'invention comprend les minéraux du groupe D tels que 0 à 20 ?g/l de fer.
