The invention relates to a belayer/descender safety device (1), cooperating with a rope (2), comprising means (5) to hold said rope (2) and rotationally fixed to a chassis (6) on which enclosure means (10) for said rope (2) are mounted with pivoting and cooperating with said holding means (5). The enclosure means (10) and the chassis (6) comprise a housing (12) in opposition in the locking position which cooperates with a hook means, in particular, a spring hook, characterised by the fact that said holding means (5) has the form of a pulley housing means for regulation of the speed of rotation thereof.

Dispositif de sécurité (1) de type assureur/descendeur, destiné à coopérer avec une corde (2), comprenant des moyens (5) aptes à recevoir ladite corde (2) et solidaires en rotation d'un châssis (6) sur lequel sont montés en pivotement des moyens (10) d'enserrement de ladite corde (2) aptes à coopérer avec lesdits moyens de réception (5), lesdits moyens d'enserrement (10) et le châssis (6) comprenant en vis-à-vis en position d'enserrement un logement (12) apte à coopérer avec des moyens d'accrochage , notamment un mousqueton , caractérisé par le fait que lesdits moyens de réception (5) se présentent sous la forme d'une poulie enfermant des moyens aptes à réguler sa vitesse de rotation.
