ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosure herein describes a belt which is formed of an elongate flexible band, one end of which displays longitudinal teeth which are engageable with ratchet elements mounted on the other end of the belt. The ratchet carrying part of the belt includes resilient portions which may be deformed to allow the ratchet elements to be moved out of engagement with the teeth to unbuckle the belt.
