ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A belt conveyor is disclosed for transporting concrete, for example, from a mixer truck to a point of use. The conveyor belt is supported on plurality of slides of concrete attack resistant aluminum alloy having a total length of 85% of the length of the frame, the total length of the slides being between 25 and 45% of the length of the conveyor belt. The slides define a rounded troughlike section for the conveyor belt having sides forming angles between 30 and 50% relative to the horizontal, and the surface of the conveyor belt in contact with the slides has a coefficient of adherence of less than 0.20. The metal frame and rollers for the conveyor belt are made of same aluminum alloy, preferably AG 5 MH III.
