The trucking floor of a belt conveyor is lined by liner sheets of UHMWPE that are fastened to the floor by bolts received through countersunk holes in the liner sheets and holes in the trunking floor. In each liner sheet one bolt is a primary locator and is received in close clearance with a hole in the trucking floor. All other bolt holes in the trunking floor are in free clearance with the bolt shanks so as to permit displacements of the floor relative to the liner sheet in all portions of the liner sheet remote from the primary locator hole due to differential thermal expansion and contraction of the liner sheet relative to the floor. Secondary locator holes prevent the sheet from rotating about the primary locator hole by having close clearance with the bolt shanks in a direction transverse to a line between the primary locator hole and the secondary locator hole. The secondary locator holes are in free clearance with the bolts in the direction of the line to permit differential expansion/contraction in the direction of the line.
