A belt for papermaking which is prevented from cracking and inhibited from suffering crack growth. It comprises a reinforcing base (6) and a thermoset polyurethane (7), the base (6) being embedded in and united with the polyurethane (7), and has a polyurethane layer as each of the outer and inner surface layers, wherein the outer polyurethane surface layer is formed from a composition comprising an isocyanate-terminated urethane prepolymer and a hardener comprising dimethylthiotoluenediamine.

L'invention concerne une courroie de fabrication de papier qui résiste à la formation de fissures. La courroie contient d'une part une base de renfort (6) et un polyuréthanne thermodurcissable, cette base (6) étant intégrée et noyée dans le polyuréthanne thermodurcissable (7), et d'autre part une couche de polyuréthanne sur chacune de ses surfaces externe et interne. La couche de polyuréthanne de la surface externe est constituée d'une composition renfermant un prépolymère d'uréthane à terminaison isocyanate et un durcisseur à base de diméthylthiotoluènediamine.
