A belt installation tool having a first member (18) engagable with a pulley hub whereby a belt installation radial load is transmitted to the pulley hub. A body (10) having a tool engagement portion (15) disposed radially from the pulley hub. A second member (11) radially extending from the body opposite the first member, the second member having a lateral urging surface (12) for laterally urging a belt into a pulley groove. A roller (17) having a conical surface (17A) extending normally from the body at a radius substantially equal to or less than a pulley flange radius and in a direction, opposite a pulley, the roller cooperatively disposed with the lateral urging surface whereby a belt is borne from the roller to the lateral urging surface during belt installation.
L'invention concerne un outil pour installer une courroie présentant un premier élément (18) pouvant entrer en prise avec un moyeu de poulie, la charge radiale de l'installation de courroie étant transmise au moyeu de poulie. Un corps (10) présentant une partie d'enclenchement (15) pour l'outil est disposé radialement à partir du moyeu de poulie. Un second élément (11) s'étend radialement à partir du corps opposé au premier élément, le second élément présentant une surface mobile latéralement (12) permet de déplacer latéralement une courroie dans une rainure de poulie. Un rouleau (17) présentant une surface conique (17a) s'étend normalement du corps sur un rayon sensiblement inférieur ou égal au rayon de la collerette de la poulie et dans un sens opposé à la poulie, le rouleau étant disposé de manière à coopérer avec la surface mobile latéralement, une courroie étant suspendue à partir du rouleau vers la surface mobile latéralement lors de l'installation de la courroie.
