ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus in which the lateral alignment of a belt arranged to move in a pre-determined path is controlled. A support mounted resiliently constrains lateral movement of the belt causing the belt to apply a moment to a pivota- bly mounted steering post. As a result of this moment, the steering post pivots in a direction to restore the belt to the pre-determined path. The foregoing abstract is neither intended to define the invention disclosed in the specification, nor is it intended to be limiting as to the scope of the invention in any way.
