The present invention relates to an apparatus for the mechanical testing of materials (5) and, in particular, to a fully reversed multi-point bending jig suitable for the mechanical testing of stiff and brittle engineering materials (5). The apparatus comprises: (i) at least four upper loading pins (10, 11), wherein each upper loading pin (10, 11) opposes a corresponding lower loading pin (10, 11) resulting in at least two pairs of inner loading pins (10, 11) and at least two pairs of outer loading pins (10, 11) for clamping a test specimen; (ii) an external frame (50) fixed relative to the outer loading pins; (iii) an internal frame (40) fixed relative to the inner loading pins; and (iv) an articulated load train (23, 30, 34) for transmitting a loading force to the loading pins, the load train comprising an inner array (23) linking the inner loading pins to the internal frame and an outer array (30, 34) linking the outer loading pins to the external frame.

La présente invention concerne un appareil destiné au contrôle mécanique de matériaux (5), et plus particulièrement un gabarit de cintrage entièrement inversé à plusieurs points, destiné au contrôle mécanique de matériaux industriels rigides et cassants (5). Cet appareil comprend: i) au moins quatre chevilles de chargement supérieures (10, 11), chacune de ces chevilles (10, 11) étant placée à l'opposé d'une cheville de chargement inférieure correspondante (10, 11), formant ainsi au moins deux paires de chevilles de chargement intérieures (10, 11), et au moins deux paires de chevilles de chargement extérieures (10, 11), ce qui permet de saisir un échantillon destiné à être contrôlé; ii) un cadre externe (50), fixe par rapport aux chevilles de chargement extérieures; iii) un cadre interne (40), fixe par rapport aux chevilles de chargement intérieures; et iv) une transmission de chargement articulée (29, 30, 34), permettant de transmettre une force de chargement audites chevilles de chargement, cette transmission de chargement comprenant un ensemble intérieur (23) qui relie les chevilles de chargement intérieures audit cadre interne, et un ensemble extérieur (30, 34) qui relie les chevilles de chargement extérieures au cadre externe.
