- 21 - Bending Machine Abstract The guideway (F1 - F3) for each working carriage (S1 - S6) has a predetermined parking position (P1 - P6) in a bending machine (B) for skein-shaped material, in which several working carriages (S1 - S6) can be adjusted in positions determined by a bending programme in a working plane and which comprises at least one working carriage guideway (F1 - F3) and a drivable working carriage transport device (T1 - T3), with which each working carriage can be optionally coupled for adjust- ment. Each working carriage positioned for working can be adjusted to its parking position with the transport device and can be adjusted again to any optional position from the parking position by means of the transport device. A programme control unit is prefer- ably provided Which clears the working carriages after the machining of a lot size of a bending programme to their parking positions (P1 - P6) with leader and trailer programmes and, prior to the beginning of a lot size, fetches the working carriages from their stored parking positions with a new bending programme and adjusts them to the new positions (Fig. 1).
