The invention relates to a device for the damping of bending vibrations in printing-unit cylinders by damping systems in rotary printing presses. Provided in a printing-unit cylinder (2, 4) are one or more wide-band tunable dampers (8). The natural frequency of said dampers (8) is the same as that of the respective printing-unit cylinder (2, 4). The dampers (8) are deflected in phase opposition to the printing-unit cylinder (2, 4).
