Compounds represented by formula (I): Image (I) wherein, for example, R1, R2, R3, and R4 each represents a hydrogen atom; R6 and R7 each represent a substituted or unsubstituted lower alkyl group; A represents a group represented by formula (II): Image (II) wherein R5 represents, for example, a hydrogen atom; and n represents an integer of 2 to 6, or a possible stereoisomer or optical isomer thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The compounds represented by formula (I) have an inhibitory action on calcium overload in addition to a vasorelaxing activity (calcium antagonism) and an inhibitory action on lipid peroxidation and are useful as a preventive or treating agent for ischemic diseases and a hypertension.

Composé representé par la formule générale ci-après (I) ou éventuellement stéréo-isomères ou isomères optiques de ce composé, et sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de ce composé (dans laquelle R1, R2, R3 et R4 représentent chacun l'hydrogène, etc.; R6 et R7 représentent chacun un alkyle inférieur facultativement substitué, etc.; A représente un groupe représenté par la formule générale ci-après (II), etc. dans laquelle R5 représente l'hydrogène, etc.; et n représente un entier de 2 à 6). Ce composé (I) a non seulement un effet vasorelaxateur (antagoniste du calcium) et un effet inhibiteur des peroxydes lipidiques mais aussi un effet inhibiteur des surcharges calciques et il se révèle utile pour la prévention ou le traitement des ischémies et comme hypotenseur.
