- 1 - Abstract: The invention provides a compound of the formula: Image wherein R is a hydrogen atom, a C1-C4 alkoxy group, a C1-C4 alkenyloxy group, a C3-C4 alkynyloxy group, a C1-C4 alkyl- thio group, a dichlorocyclopropylmethoxy group or a methyl- dichlorocyclopropylmethoxy group, X is a chlorine atom or a bromine atom and Y is a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom or a chlorine atom. These compounds are useful as herbicides for paddy field or upland field use.
