Abstract of the Disclosure Benzolureido-diphenyl ethers of the general formula Image (I) in which R1 is fluorine, chlorine, bromine or methyl, R2 is hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine, R3 is hydrogen or chlorine, R4 is hydrogen, chlorine or methyl, R5 is hydrogen or chlorine, and R6 is nitro or trifluoromethyl, are very effective as insecticides. The compounds of the formula (I) can be prepared by reacting (a) a phenoxyaniline of the general formula Image (II) with a benzoylisocyanate of the general formula Image (III), if appropriate in the presence of a diluent or solvent, or (b) a 4-isocyanato-diphenyl ether of the general formula Image (IV) with a benzamide of the general formula Image if appropriate in the presence of a diluent or solvent.
