A compound which is a 2-(1H-pyrrol-2-yl)-5[(2H-pyrrol-2-ylidene)methyl]-1H- pyrrole of formula (I), wherein R1 is hydrogen or C1-C5 alkyl; R2 is a C1-C5 alkyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, is useful as an immunomodulating agent and for treating adult-T-cell leukemia-lymphoma.
