Compounds with fungicidal and insecticidal properties having formula Image (I) wherein A is N or CH; V is O or NH; m and n are independently 0 and 1 provided that m + n is not 2, and U and W are independently O or N; such that when U and W are both N and n is 0 and m is 1, the bond between the 1 and 5 atoms is a double bond and the bond between the C3-C4 atoms is a single or double bond, and when n is 1 and m is 0, the bond between the 2 and 3 atoms is a double bond and the bond between the C4-C5 atoms is a single or double bond; and that when U is O and W is N and n=m=0, the bond between the 1 and 5 atoms is a double bond and the bond between the C3-C4 atoms is a single or double bond; and that when U is N and W is O and n=m=0, the bond between the 2 and 3 atoms is a double bond and the bond between the C4-C5 atoms is a single or double bond; X is independently selected from hydrogen, halo, (C1-C4)alkyl, and C1-C4)alkoxy; R is independently selected from hydrogen, (C1-C12)alkyl, halo(C1-C12)alkyl, (C2-C8)alkenyl, (C2-C8)alkynyl(C1-C12)alkoxy(C1-C12)alkyl, (C3-C7)cycloalkyl, (C3-C7)cycloalkyl(C1-C4)alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, heterocyclic and R1 is independently selected from hydrogen, (C1-C6)alkyl, and aryl; and Z is selected from (C1-C6)alkyl, halo(C1-C6)alkyl, (C3-C7) cycloalkyl, (C3-C7)cycloalkyl(C1-C4)alkyl, aryl and aralkyl.
