ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to new and valuable .beta.-azolyl ketones of the formula Image where R1 denotes alkyl of a maximum of 7 carbon atoms, cyclo- alkyl or unsubstituted or halogen-substituted aryl, and R2 denotes furanyl, thiophenyl, naphthyl, biphenylyl or phenyl, the phenyl radical being optionally substituted by halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, nitro or trifluoromethyl, and R1 and R2 not simultaneously denoting phenyl, and salts thereof. These compounds have a good fungicidal action. This invention is also directed to fungicides containing these active in- gredients, processes for their manufacture and methods of combatting fungi with these active ingredients.
