ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel substituted ?-phenoxy-ethanol esters expressed by the formula Image wherein R1 is an alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R2 is a lower alkoxy- carbonyl, a lower alkanoyl, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy, a carboxyl group or a halogen atom, and R3 is alkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms. These compounds have juvenile hormone activities, and are useful for hormonal pest control and increased production of silkworm cocoons.
