The invention relates to the bonding of bevels of relatively planar form and of material such as glass to a sheet of material such as a window pane or the like to provide a decorative effect. The invention provides in one aspect the use of a template which has at least one aperture in which one or a series of bevels are places in the correct configuration. The template is formed so as to allow excess adhesive to flow onto the same rather than the sheet material so that when the adhesive is cured it can be peelably removed from the template rather than cause deposits on the sheet material. The adhesive used can withstand and be resistant to the effects of weathering over a prolonged period of time thereby improving the long term visual effect of the bevels when bonded to the sheet material.
L'invention a trait au collage de biseaux de forme relativement plane et constitués d'un matériau, comme le verre, à une feuille de matériau, un carreau de fenêtre ou quelque chose de semblable, pour obtenir un effet décoratif. Un aspect de l'invention porte sur l'utilisation d'un gabarit ayant au moins une ouverture dans laquelle un ou plusieurs biseaux sont placés selon la configuration voulue. Le gabarit est fabriqué de manière que l'écoulement de l'adhésif excédentaire se fasse sur lui plutôt que sur le matériau en feuille de sorte que, lorsque l'adhésif a durci, il peut être retiré facilement par pelage au lieu de former des dépôts sur le matériau en feuille. L'adhésif utilisé peut supporter les intempéries et résister à leur action pendant une longue période, ce qui permet d'améliorer l'effet visuel à long terme des biseaux lorsqu'ils sont collés au matériau en feuille.
