A reusable insulating cap is shown for preventing dirt, insects and other foreign objects from accessing the lid and interior of a beverage can. A number of internal vent grooves are located about the cap to allow for the pressure of any carbonation or fermentation to escape to the ambient. The cap is made of a uniform, foam- like, resilient material to conform to varying sizes and shapes of can tops, and to allow a user to easily remove the cap from the can by exerting a moderate prying force with one hand, while the other hand holds the can. The cap helps keep the top of the can cool after refrigeration and reduce heat transfer with the ambient. The cap is easy to clean and store, allows for the stacking of like capped cans, and is light weight and attractive.
