A beverage container holder is disclosed for maintaining a beverage container at a low temperature. The holder includes an exterior sleeve having an inner surface and an outer surface, and an upper end and a lower end. The holder also includes an inner sleeve having an exterior surface and an interior surface, wherein the exterior surface of the inner sleeve is attached in at least one location to the inner surface of the exterior sleeve. A disclosed beverage container includes a bottom pad attached at a lower end of the beverage container. The bottom pad preferably has an exterior surface defining a tread. The disclosed beverage container may also contain an insulation layer and a bottom cushion. The disclosed beverage container holder may feature a beading strip, a foxing band, and a rear strip affixed to the outer surface of the exterior sleeve. A method for manufacturing a beverage container holder is disclosed which involves attaching an insulation layer to an inner sheet shaped around an exterior surface of a last; attaching an exterior sleeve to the insulation layer; and affixing a bottom pad to a bottom portion of the beverage container holder.
