A beer dispensing tap, apparatus and system are provided which allows for consistent dispensing of a usually pressurized beverage such as beer into a serving vessel. The beverage passes through a novel dispensing tap having a nozzle whose bore is adapted to impart a circular or swirling motion to the beverage stream as it exits the tap. The beverage stream is projected into the vessel preferably directly toward the base of the vessel where, because of its motion, it swirls around the vessel whilst it fills. This provides a pleasing visual effect for the customer during the pouring operation as well as a consistent presentation of beer to the consumer.
