A device for applying a time-varying magentic field to a human or animal body for therapeutic purposes comprising a magnetic body (72) housed in a free moving member (80), which is itself housed within the device. The device is powered by a small electric motor that drives the free moving member (80) and magnetic body (72) to rotate about an exis of first rotation. The magnetic body is further caused to rotate around an axis of second rotation through angular forces imparted on it either mechanically or magnetically. Mechanical angular force is imparted by a gear and tooth arrangement or other similar tactile interaction with a roller member (106). Magnetic angular force is imparted by stationary magnets (110) as the magnetic body (72) rotates past them. The two rotational movements of the magnetic body (72) are oblique to one another and produce both a time-varying field of magnetic flux density and a time varying field of angular flux displacement.
Dispositif servant à appliquer une champ magnétique variable dans le temps à un humain ou un animal à des fins thérapeutiques. Ce dispositif est composé d'un corps magnétique (72) logeant dans un élément librement mobile (80) logeant lui-même à l'intérieur de ce dispositif. Ce dernier est alimenté par un petit électromoteur entraînant l'élément librement mobile (80) et le corps magnétique (72) en rotation autour d'un premier axe de rotation. Des forces angulaires appliquées aux corps magnétiques, soit mécaniquement, soit magnétiquement, provoquent ensuite sa rotation autour d'un deuxième axe. La force angulaire mécanique est exercée par un engrenage ou par une autre interaction tactile similaire possédant un galet (106). La forces angulaire magnétique est exercée par des aimant fixes (110) simultanément au passage du corps magnétique (72) devant ces aimants. Les deux rotations du corps magnétique (72) sont obliques l'une par rapport à l'autre et produisent à la fois un champ variable dans le temps de densité de flux magnétique et un champ variable dans le temps de déplacement de flux angulaire.
