ABSTRACT The bias circuit generates fixed and programmable currents for various functions in an integrated circuit from a voltage determined by a band gap reference. Programmable currents are obtained by a single programming resistor for all the functions, which resistor generates a low programming current; after passing through a low current PNP mirror, the programming circuit is raised to the values required by the individual functions of the integ- rated circuit by two stage amplification by means of NPN current mirror circuits.
