Disclosed is a method of forming a container from biaxially oriented Polylactic Acid (PLA) sheet material (100). In the disclosed method, a container blank made of biaxially oriented Polylactic Acid material is dimensioned, cut and scored to form a container blank with a plurality of flaps, a plurality of panels, and a plurality of fold lines. Then an adhesive is applied to a first portion of the container blank and the container blank is folded so that the first portion of said container blank is secured to a second portion of the container blank by the adhesive to form a container with at least one open end (Fig. 4).
Cette invention concerne un procédé de formation d'un contenant à partir d'un matériau en feuille d'acide polylactique (PLA) à orientation biaxiale. Selon le procédé de cette invention, une découpe de contenant composée de matériau d'acide polylactique à orientation biaxiale est dimensionnée, coupée et rainurée de façon qu'elle forme une découpe de contenant comportant une pluralité de rabats, de panneaux et de lignes de pliage. Un adhésif est ensuite appliqué sur une première partie de la découpe de contenant, après quoi cette dernière est pliée de façon que la première partie de la découpe de contenant soit fixée à une deuxième partie de la découpe de contenant par l'adhésif de façon qu'on obtienne un contenant pourvu d'au moins une extrémité ouverte.
