1. The many efforts made to make bicycle rides smoother and to protect the rider's back from shocks from bumps and holes in the road surface is well known. Earler, since decades, a spring arrangement was used as illustrated on Fig.-2 Over the last decade bicycles became more and more sophisticated and many rather expensive complicated solutions appeared on the market. Most of the solutions are spring arrangements over the front and rear wheels with air-hydraulic shock absorbers, but with ques- tinable real results.
