-8- BICYCLE STAND ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A bicycle stand has a cage into which a bicycle may be placed. As the bicycle is run into the cage from the open rear end, a front swing arm is engaged by the front wheel of the bicycle and pivots upwardly behind the front wheel to capture it in the cage. A rear swing arm is pivotally mounted on the cage and may be spun horizontally to pass through the rear wheel of the bicycle and the bicycle frame to capture the frame and the rear wheel. A lock, preferably coin operated, locks the two capturing mechanisms in their capturing positions to retain a bicycle and its parts in place, securing them against unauthorized removal.
