Abstract of the Disclosure A bidet is provided for an upright or suspended arrangement with a hot and a cold water supply, wherein the hot and cold water supply are connected to a mixer assembly located in the front edge section remote from the wall, and the mixer assembly is arranged on a fitment support below the level of the sitting surface The front edge section of the bidet, remote from the wall, is raised, and a mixed water outlet is arranged above the highest possible water level, at least in the front edge section of the bidet. The front edge section is adjoined by a downwardly recessed surface, acting as a fitment support to accommodate a mixer assembly, and the bidet has a seat with a lid which can both be raised, the downwardly recessed surface being inclined downwards or being one step.
