A monitoring system includes a remote monitoring unit with a sensor unit in bidirectional wireless communication with a monitor unit. Information is transmitted bidirectionally between the sensor unit and the monitor unit. The monitor unit may inform the sensor unit that transmitted data has been, corrupted, that the distance between the units is becoming too large, that transmission signal strength may be altered, that interference requires a change in transmitting frequency, or that attention is needed by the patient to the monitor unit.
L'invention concerne un système de surveillance comprenant une unité de surveillance à distance dotée d'une unité de capteur qui permet d'établir une communication bidirectionnelle sans fil avec une unité de moniteur. Des informations sont transmises entre l'unité de capteur et l'unité de moniteur dans les deux sens. L'unité de moniteur peut informer l'unité de capteur que les données transmises ont été altérées, que la distance entre les unités est trop grande, que l'intensité d'un signal de transmission est modifiée, qu'une interférence requière un changement de fréquence de transmission, ou que le patient doit prêter attention à l'unité de moniteur.
