A system and a method for communicating data between a downhole tool and a surface controller is provided that comprises a rotating drill string (20) extending a borehole (26) and having a downhole telemetry module (72) disposed proximate a bottom end thereof and transmitting a first signal across a telemetry channel. A surface telemetry module is disposed proximate a top end of the rotating drill string and is adapted to receive the first signal transmitted by the downhole telemetry module across the transmission channel. The surface telemetry module has a radio frequency transmitter disposed therein for transmitting a second signal related to the first signal. A stationary communication module has a radio frequency receiver adapted to receive the second signal.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé de communication de données entre un outil de fond et un contrôleur de surface. Ce système comprend un train de tiges rotatives qui s'étend dans un puits de forage, a un module de télémétrie de fond placé à proximité d'une extrémité de fond et qui émet un premier signal via un canal de télémétrie. Un module de télémétrie de surface est placé à proximité d'une extrémité supérieure du train de tiges rotatives et permet de recevoir le premier signal émis par le module de télémétrie de fond via le canal de transmission. Le module de télémétrie de surface contient un émetteur de fréquence destiné à émettre un deuxième signal lié au premier signal. Un module de communication stationnaire a un récepteur de fréquence radio permettant de recevoir le deuxième signal.
