Abstract of the Disclosure. A binder-containing lignocellulose or wood fibre multilayer mat for producing three-dimensionally deformed mouldings for the inter- nal panelling of vehicles is described. The surface outer layers are more highly compressed than the inner layer or layers mainly made from the same material. The weight proportion of the outer layers is at least 20% of the overall mat weight and the outer layers have an at least 40% higher compression. Each of the outer layers is formed from a plurality of individual layers, whose fibre arrangements are oriented approximately orthotropically to one another.
