An apparatus and method for succes- sively delivering ring carrier elements to a paper loading station for producing bound booklets. The apparatus provides a carrier (18) having ring elements (20) adhesively at- tached thereto in spaced apart fashion, the carrier drawn to a ring loading station (14) where individual elements are deposited onto a comb retainer (26) whereat a ring spreader (28) can open the rings for loading of pa- per thereon. The carrier can be fashioned as a fan-folded supply or can be a wound sup- ply, having the elements adhesively attached thereto, or threaded thereon.

Appareil et procédé permettant de livrer l'un après l'autre des éléments de support à anneaux à une station de chargement en papier, afin de produire des fascicules reliés. L'appareil utilise un support (18) sur lequel sont collés des éléments à anneaux (20) espacés, ce support défilant jusqu'à une station de chargement d'anneaux (14), les éléments individuels étant déposés sur un organe de retenue à peigne (26) où un écarteur d'anneaux (28) ouvre ces derniers afin d'y introduire le papier. Le support peut être façonné de manière à être plié en accordéon ou enroulé, et les éléments peuvent y être collés ou enfilés.
