ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A binding material which is separable into individual portions of selected width, characterized in that it is in the form of sheeting made of a stretchable organic high polymeric, partly crystalline synthetic material, which sheeting is stretched in one direction to such a degree that the sheet may be torn, in line with the direction of stretching, and areas adjacent a said tear do not split apart, thus allowing the tearing-off of strips of uniform, freely selectable width for use in tying articles together and twist closing bags for example.
