ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A binding strap to be attached to an article as means for its identification, made of a thin, elongate and flexible one- piece body of a plate-like material molded from a synthetic resin. The binding strap comprises a first and a second portion having at a longitudinally central portion thereof a narrow folding portion provided across the width of the strap by reducing the thickness thereof, and it can be double folded, one of the first and second portions piled on the other with the folding portion as the line of folding. The binding strap has mutually lockably engaging members provided at the ends of the first and second portions remote from the folding portion. Once the strap has been folded and the ends locked together, the strap cannot be released except by cutting or otherwise destroying it. The strap has an area thereon surrounded by a guard or protective frame to receive indicia.
