ABSTRACT A pair of binoculars comprises two viewing tubes interconnected by a hinged bridge, and a central drive for common adjustment of focussing elements within the tubes. Two adjusting rings, which are couplable to and uncouplable from each other, are coaxially arranged on a common axle and in the uncoupled state are able to provide mutual- ly independent internal focussing of the indivudal viewing tubes.
