The present invention prolongs the biocidal activity of a hydrated lime coating using a binder having the film properties of a carbon dioxide barrier but not having the film properties of a water barrier. The binder can be used either as a component of the hydrated lime coating, itself, or in a separate protective film for a hydrated lime coating. The coating can be based on either an aqueous or an organic solvent.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de prolonger l'activité biocide d'un enduit contenant de la chaux hydratée, au moyen d'un liant possédant les caractéristiques d'un film susceptible de faire barrière au dioxyde de carbone mais pas celles d'un film faisant barrière à l'eau. Ledit liant peut être utilisé soit en tant que composant de l'enduit contenant de la chaux hydratée, seul, ou être incorporé à un film protecteur séparé, destiné à un enduit à la chaux hydratée. Cet enduit peut être fabriqué à base d'un solvant organique ou d'un solvant aqueux.
