It has been required to develop a tissue adhesive for biological use which has a strong adhesive force and a low biological toxicity. To occlude a blood vessel, stop bleeding, stop air leakage or blocking aneurysm, the existing hemostatic materials, vascular occluding materials, sealants and aneurysm blocking agents would frequently peel off from the application site and thus there is no such a product having a satisfactory hemostatic effect or blocking strength. Thus, it is intended to provide a two-component system biodegradable and pressure-sensitive material for medical use which contains a biodegradable polymer as the adhesive component together with a low-molecular weight derivative, wherein a carboxyl group in a di- or tricarboxlyic acid occurring in the citric acid cycle is modified with an electron-drawing group (succinimidyl, sulfosuccinimidyl, maleimidyl, phthalimidyl, imidazolyl, nitrophenyl, tresyl or a combination of two or more of these derivatives), as a hardening component.
La présente invention se rapporte à la nécessité de mettre au point un adhésif pour tissu destiné à un usage biologique, qui possède une puissante force d'adhésion et une faible toxicité biologique. Lorsqu'il s'agit d'effectuer l'occlusion d'un vaisseau sanguin, d'arrêter un saignement, d'arrêter la fuite d'air ou de bloquer un anévrysme, les matières hémostatiques, les matières d'occlusion vasculaire, les agents d'étanchéité et les agents de blocage d'anévrysme actuellement disponibles ont souvent tendance à se détacher du site d'application et par conséquent il n'existe pas de produit ayant un effet hémostatique ou un pouvoir d'arrêt satisfaisant. L'objectif est donc de produire une matière sensible à la pression, biodégradable, formée d'un système à deux constituants, destinée à un usage médical qui contient en tant que constituant adhésif, un polymère biodégradable, et, en tant que constituant durcisseur, un dérivé de faible poids moléculaire, dans lequel un groupe carboxyle d'un acide dicarboxylique ou tricarboxylique présent dans le cycle acide citrique est modifié avec un groupe preneur d'électrons (succinimidyle, sulfosuccinimidyle, maléimidyle, phtalimidyle, imidazolyle, nitrophényle, trésyle ou une combinaison d'au moins deux de ces dérivés).
